My goodness, having just one kid and a dog fills up a regular car to the point of being uncomfortable. We drive 20+ hours to see my family and there's no way I would do it twice in the tiny car. Minivans rule, I dont care if some hip young people thing they're uncool, my own comfort (and family's) is all that matters. All it took was one roadtrip with our daughter and dog to ditch the car (pontiac vibe) and buy a Sienna. Power Buttons for rear and side doors. I also said I would NEVER drive a minivan. I had a Chrysler Pacifica before. The T&C is not as smooth of a ride, but it is much easier with my children soon to be age 4, soon to be 2 yrs and six months. Although, I need more space when I go grocery shopping at sam's or Walmart......I only have to press the buttons and let the older kids climb into their seats, while I the baby in his seat. The fact that I can press a button and the doors/trunk opens!!! On a rainy day you can jump in the back strap all the kids in and then move straight to the driving seat with out having to get out or jump over a seat. I can open the door and not worry about the kids hitting someone elses door. I love the whole concept!! I don't have one, but I really want one. When you have kids its not about how you look its about getting around with ease. Trips to the store can be a struggle. Ok, I have three kids and I am currently pregnant. I never wanted a minivan but the 2008 Chrysler Town and Country has definitely captured my interest. I have one of those gas guzzling SUV's and it may be roomy, but not gas friendly. Everytime we rent a minivan, once I pull up in the driveway, my childrens eyes light up in the window because you know they are waiting and watching to see what we have now. They tell me how much they love it and want one for our family. That to me is everything, and I can envision me as a sexy mom inside also.
