Movie Review – Beowulf
Over the weekend me and the misses checked out Beowulf. Yeah, I know not normally my cup of tea but the kids were away for the weekend so it was whatever!!! Here is the trailer for the movie and what we both thought. Comment back and let us know what you think!
His View
One word – “Cartoon”. Not cartoon, cartoon in it’s truest sense but close enough. Who knew? It looked cartoonish in the commercial trailers but I gave it the benefit of the doubt and thought it may be like 300 which was a monster and had some animation like traits. Anyway I guess the movie itself wasn’t bad, the story based on the book of course was pretty good. We caught it at a 3-D theatre which definately made the cartoon effect better. My final opinion: If I only had a baby sitter for one night and it was between Beowulf and using the sitter on another night for something else – I’d hold off on ”The Wulf”
Her View
I really did not know what the movie was about until we got to the theater. Even though it was a cartoon, I enjoyed the movie and the story line. We saw the movie in 3D which was cool. Overall, I liked the movie…but then again…I was just happy because we had a babysitter, and I had some candy and some popcorn and my hubby all to myself!! I would suggest that you go see it if you are in to this type of movie (otherwise it would be a really good rental.)
