The Great Driving Debate

Do you and your spouse (or significant other) ever debate over who should drive when you are going out together? I know we do sometimes.

HER VIEW

Here is my take on it.  By the time I finish getting the kids ready ( baths, hair, food…etc.,) I want a break when I get into the car.  I feel like I do most of the work to get us to the point where we are ready to leave the house and therefore I should not have to drive.  However, I think my husband would like for me to drive more.  I disagree!!!

Basically, the only time I drive is when we have gone to a function that has alcoholic beverages.  I don’t mind being the designated driver and it allows my husband to enjoy himself and not worry about a DUI.  I also share the driving on long trips.

 HIS VIEW

Don’t tell anyone but generally I agree with what she said from above. Sometimes you just gotta give the misses a hard time. ha ha. My only thing is if you don’t drive 97% of the time we’re in the car together spare me the driving tips… if it bothers you that much guess who can drive? ha ha ha.

I know how precious time is when you have children added to the mix. If you enjoy driving and want to do it all the time and he is cool with it...I say drive on my sister. But of course you need your time to relax and let him take the wheel too. Although I'm single, when I am out on a date, I sometimes offer to drive. Some men enjoy being the passenger. But is he drives like a bat out of hell...I say get behind the wheel each time. :-) LOL
