James Brown and Luciano Pavarotti – It’s a man’s world!
Stubmled upon this on youtube. One of the best duets I’ve seen ever in my opinion. What do you think?

It sure is great video. It is such a great perfomance by two GREAT performers that my music professor tried to play the video during our class, but could not because so many were streaming the video after the announcing of Luciano Pavarotti. A great perfoemance and a wonderful way to remember such music giants.

This stirring performance by these two legends is one of the greatest fusion of two musical genres I have ever had the pleasure to witness! The incongruity of Pavarotti’s classic tenor with the classic James Brown rasp has produced pure magic. Pavarotti had a glimpse of the future where he saw the universality of music becoming part of globalization. He took the classic operatic genre out of its exclusive cabinet and shared it with the masses, fusing it through duets, and allowing others to showcase their strengths alongside his. The mark of a truly great man. It’s uncanny that both men died so soon after this epic performance; I am truly moved everytime I watch it, and I do believe the voices of both these legends will echo into eternity.
