What Black Men and Women Were Thinking Pt II

Alright this post is more about the movie than the convo. The movie went into debunking myths and showing from my POV just how ridiculous the black male image is portrayed in society. Janks Morton the films creator asked people in the film numerous questions and most didn’t have a clue. As we watched I wondered what everyone in the room what have answered to those same questions. By the time the film was over I didn’t ask anyone because I doubt most would have admitted guilt so I left it alone. You know the Mom and me have said before don’t believe the hype about all of those numbers they’re jamming down our throats every night in MSM (main stream media) from these researchers. Janks proves exactly why you shouldn’t.

Are there more black men in jail or in college?

What percentage of black men pay child support?

Do you think most black men are in jail, on drugs or on the DL?

For the answers to these questions and many more including interesting perspectives from various contributors you’re sure to recognize check out the film or at least check out the website here.

I give this film a high rating of four strollers. Definitely worth shelling out a few bucks and making it a movie night at the house. Do one of our numbers and invite some friends over, it’s sure to spark conversation, then come back and let us know what you talked about.

I thought the most enlightening question of all what “what is the number one killer of black people?”

I scratched my head for a good 20 minutes before they finally revealed the answer. Then I felt like an idiot.

I reviewed this movie on my site and would also highly recommend it.
