Father Daughter Bonding
On Friday night me and TheMom went to Game 6 of the NBA playoffs between the Cleveland Cavaliers and my beloved Washington Wizards. I’m just recovering from the pain of the game itself but the highlight of the entire evening was a father and daughter we saw outside of the arena before the game started.
For all of you non-sports fans here is a quick background. One of the Wizards players said Lebron James was overrated. Then when asked about that LeBron said him responding to Stevenson of the Wizards would be like JayZ responding to Soulja Boy (The one with that dance your kids kept doing for the past 6 months.) Then Stevenson invites Soulja Boy to game three in DC which the Wizards blew Cleveland out at so following this JayZ jumps into the fray by making a diss track about Stevenson and the Wizards (why is a 40 year old rapper getting into a trash talking session between to basketball players in their early twenties?) So now that that’s out of the way fast foward to game six here in DC. Excitement was high after the Wizards had just pulled out a win in Cleveland for game 5. If they lost they were out of the playoffs, a win would force a game 7 to advance to the next round.
Back to before the game. I scooped the tickets at will call then went back over to my wife who told me I had to see this guys t-shirt and his daughters too. We walk up and everyone is taking pictures of them standing together with his hand around her shoulder. His shirt reads, “F#$% LeBron” and her’s read “And Jay-Z Too!” Before anyone breaks in with the we got to do better as black folks talk this was an older white guy and his daughter and it sure looked like they were having fun. She had to be probably pre-teen I would think or somewhere close.
BWMK family was this too much for a child to be involved in? Should that dad be in some type of hot water? Or was he the coolest man alive in the eyes of his daughter for that day?

I’m not crazy about the obscenity, but anything that bonds kids (of any gender) and their Dads is good.
That said, why couldn’t his shirt have just said “Lebron Sucks”? That would have been better.

I was also at the game and saw the father and daughter who were sitting in the same section. Initially I was appalled because of the obscenity, but beyond that it was kinda cute. I agree with AverageBro, “Lebron Sucks” or something along that line would have been more appropriate.
