I was with the Mary Jane Girls at first, that song took me back to the club at the end of the night when they were trying to mellow out the mood. But.... then I played that Vanity 6, that beat is just so deadly with that sexy singy/talky thing going on. My Vote........... Vanity 6

Without a doubt, MJG. Also in the clip are other videos. My fav MJG song was "In My House", they wore Vanity 6 clothes. The "founder" of MJG, Rick James" video "MJ". Evelyn Champainge King singing "Shame". Wow, that just took me back 25 yrs. Now if we could only go back 25 years ago for the price of gas, food, clothes and buying a house(with my current pay I would be considered "Rich". lol).

Vanity 6 wins because of their association with Prince. I did not see MJG in Purple Rain.

Prince is the man without a doubt. I can't count how many times I have seen him at a live concert. The last time too long ago I think it was June of 07. It was a great show. He still looks like the "pretty boy" next door. He will alway amaze you at what he can do. Only musically and not really movie wise. His looks are his being him(high heels) his music is universal. I was at his concert and could not believe that he atttracts all races and all ages. To absorb a man in his 70's singing and swaying along to prince n concert was so priceless. He also has a book coming out this summer.

Even though the Mary Jane Girls came out with more than one album, none of the ladies were in films. Vanity was in a lot of filmes during the 1980's and Brenda and Susan were in 'Purple Rain'. So...my vote is for Vanity!
