Powerful Black Family

The Black and Married With Kids – Powerful Black Family watch has officially begun. This is a few days old but I couldn’t find the video I wanted then even better someone on thestateof.com left a link to a story thats even better than the video alone. Check this out:

After I showed this to TheMom she was trying to give me pounds for the rest of the night :-)

BTW did anyone see the reactions from around the globe, they were hype all over, Africa and Kenya in particular of course, they’re getting torn down with that Obama Beer. Japan has a city called Obama, Japan that wants to send a delegation over to meet him, Germany was going crazy. It’s definitely a good look for all of us right now. More on that to follow.

I didn’t realize there was reaction around the globe, but I am not surprised. He simply has *something* and definitely warrants attention. LOL @ ‘TheMom’ giving you pound!

Every now and then I know it’s kind of simple stuff but they do things like that and it reminds me that we share that culture. For once it doesn’t seem like you’re on the outside looking in.

I also love this married couple. What more could we ask for in a new president. Beautiful, Intelligent, Still In Love and Oh So Powerful. I want someone young in the White House. Times have changed and I am tired of Old Men liviing in the 1900′s mind set to dictate my present and future.

Obama has so much support from around the world that I can only be proud to be apart of this wonderful but belated happening. The Pound Fist should continue to be their signiture PDA. Not sure why all are making a big deal about it. Don’t couples give each other a “High Five”? One single person putting his hat in the ring to run for president has changed the globe and to help unifiy all of us. Amazing and so refreshing. Michelle Obama as “First Lady”, sounds good to me. When our kids are looking for someone to look up to besides (we parents) A pop tart or a video chick is not it. The President of the United States has the most powerful job in this country. Kids should look up to Obama and Michelle as their IDOL, HERO, and realize they too can be anything they want when they grow up. Race and Gender will always be a issue. Obama sure did chip away at the glass ceiling, not only did he chip it piece by piece, he broke it. When Mrs. Obama said that she feels proud to be an American for the first time in her life, I knew what she meant. I have always been proud to be an American but I am more proud now that people are taking things at face value and not skin color.

Oh my goodness! Of course there is a reaction around the globe Anewlis! We are just as excited here in the UK as other places around the world. It’s on a variety of levels – US politics doesn’t operate in isolation – contextually your political affairs have an impact on countries around the world. Truth be told…your current president certainly is *not* that popular outside of the US. You don’t need to live in the US to dislike Bush – that’s an international pastime. But for other people around the world also, especially black folk, Obama represents change and hope. It’s an exciting time.
