Sure do believe in Black Love. There's a particular brand of spiritual energy and synergy between black couples that can't be denied; particularly when we are not using the culture of power to define ourselves. When a black women and a black man can filter themselves away from the BS that has been spoon fed to them about who they are; the results are just miraculous. When we are conscious we share an ancestral memory, pride, and a tumultuous and glorious history that can't be denied.

Love Jones is one of my favorite movies ever! I've seen it over 100 times. I believe in Love period. As far a Black love a lot of people seem to think that it doesn't exist. That is wrong. There are couples out here who truly love each other and are committed! Glennishas last blog post..Forget Dairy Queen

Oh what a movie! Drool-a-rama for Lorenz too! The Dad, I am a *huge* fan of Love and Basketball! Love Jones is definitely in my top ten but the question of 'black love' is an interesting one. I love the boyf with all of my heart and soul but I don't know if what we have is because we're black or enhanced because we're black - we're just very committed to each other, our child, our life, and our future. I don't think we ever think 'Oooh we're a black couple' but then it's different here in the UK. That said, we really embrace each others backgrounds and cultures - his family are from Sierra Leone and mine are Jamaican/Jamaican Chinese. Glennisha - I am impressed that you can see a movie 100 times! NMLs last blog post..Botched Driving Test and the Bambino's First Birthday

Is there a such thing as Black Love. As the advocate for Black Love I am offended at the question. lol I say there is a such thing. Black Love is all around us. The folks who run this site are an example, some of the folks who post are examples. It simply is a beautiful thing. And no I don't think it's the same as love between other folks. Love is love, but in my opinion, when you got Black Love going, you got something special happening.
