I am old school but this is what i think, i think all women want to feel like they are being protected by their man. When you are in public and someone disrespect you some men especially the mild mannered man will say let’s just pay the bill and get out of here and the wife is saying oh no she didn’t just do that, men handle your business just say i got this and you become a hero and guess what happens when you get home that’s right, but if it goes the other way when you get home this is what you will get, i can not believe that you just sit on your butt and said nothing now i have a police record, men handle your woman’s business. I was looking at Dr. Phil one day and he said if you have a problem with my wife you have a problem with me, now that is my kind of man and he is no thug.

Why do black women always want to include all women (ALL RACES) when a negative topic is brought to the table, but want exclusive rights when it’s time to get the lime light??? You (black women)don’t know what other women want or love. You don’t even know what the hell you want or love and always contradict everything that you say and do. Listen, stop trying to speak for all women and worry about yourselves BLACK WOMEN. Learn how to be social and realize that you can speak to a black man and it not look like you are desperate. It is not about playing a game and seeing which guy will approach you. Most likely it will be the THUG or a USER that you are going to get. Remember how much power that the stink box holds and act like it. We are interested in YOU but the real GENTLEMEN aren’t going to kiss ass anymore. You know that we are here to meet you so stop looking pass us and faking. Look me in the eye and speak to us like a real women and we will take care of the rest. Thugs don’t have a clue. If you see a man that dosen’t have clean, polished and well kept shoes, than that is the first sign of failure.

@ TheMom. I have a stuck up daughter. (she knows I call her that) Not sure if it is a good thing or a bad thing. She lives in the burbs and I live in my hood. I do know that she will not stress nor take no mess from a man. She can hold her own and I hope she continues to be out spoken.(bossy) I may not get a son-in-law or grandkids from her.(unless she finds a man that likes a bossy take charge woman.ha ha, wonder where she got that from) That’s ok I have 2 other kids.( to give me grandkids) LOL.

Thank-you for writing this post. Not all black women want thugs. It is not unusual for young women (not just black women) to be attracted to the “bad boys” or the “popular boys.”

I just hope that I am able to teach my 3 daughters to value themselves so much that they would not want to be with a “thug.” What did they call it when we were in school.. “stuck up”. Seriously, my girls don’t have to be stuck up. But sometimes I see a young lady that I am impressed with (either in the neighborhood or at church) and I see how she carries herself. …. like if you don’t have your stuff together…then don’t even think about coming my way!!

When I was younger, I waisted my time with some real fake thug wanna-be losers ( like NML says..they were some real ASSCLOWNS… I love that word.) I really wish I knew to value myself more then. But as I matured and learned to value myself more , I did not give those type of men the time of day. I think this is the scenario that happens more often than not.
