Warning: This post is a mixture of random thoughts:
BMWK family, have you ever been somewhere and your toddler acted like a complete boo boo? This was the case yesterday when we went to a 5yr old birthday party and our soon to be 2yr old worked us from the time we hit the door to the time we left. At one point I walked her down the street which was on a hill and back up… what the heck was I thinking, it was hot as hell literally yesterday and carrying 35lbs of kicking, screaming, baby in that heat was no fun. When we got to the bottom of the hill she had stopped crying and it was so hot I was about to leave her there and hope she could work her way back up to the top but don’t worry I did the right thing. LOL
On another note, the invitation said for the kids to wear their swimsuits so me and TheMom were guessing what would be in store for us when we got there. She thought it would be a pool but I told her my man had a hill behind his house so that wasn’t it, so she guessed one of those sprinkler toys, I guessed a slip and slide, man were we wrong. When we rolled into my man’s neighborhood and came around the corner, there it was BAM! A huge slide, literally two stories tall. (The 60 foot Roaring River) Big enough that adults could use it and one even did and he wasn’t no small dude either. I was thinking wow my man went all out but he did tell us he had ordered a much smaller version but it had ripped during the week so this big one was all they had so they upgraded him free of charge. Now that’s a come up. (Actual picture below)

After the party we went to the mall. Note: It’s hard to find something at the mall when you’re in between the young man and old man stages. Your choices are old man gear or pencil jeans with neon T-Shirts. Not quite having either of those right now.
You know you live in a black area when: You go into Macy’s and there’s a sign welcoming AKA’s to town for their convention along with a section of pink and green clothing for their shopping convenience. TheMom said they have to have a black store manager. LOL.
As I finish typing this TheMom is in the room watching Love and Basketball and trying to get me to watch certain parts like the movies not old as dirt and like I haven’t seen it a few times and she hasn’t seen it a million times. She needs to sit down somewhere.
BMWK Update: Make sure to keep checking us out daily, we’re working on adding new features to the blog all of the time. Some of the recent updates include:
Comment Luv: For those of you with your own blogs, when you leave a comment it will automatically create a link to your last post at the bottom of your comment.
Comment Subscriptions: Now you can keep up with all of the comments on your favorite posts. If you scroll down to the very bottom of the comments on a post, all of the way down at the bottom of the page you’ll see a link to subscribe to the comments. That way every time someone responds to that topic you’ll be get an email letting you know you better get back to give your two cents. I’ve been wanting to add this for a while so hopefully you’ll get some use out of it. I hate it when someone asks someone to clarify something or comments on their comment but the other person never sees it or sees it late.
BMWK Widget

The BMWK Widget allows you to share BMWK content on your website, myspace, facebook or other platforms or networks you may use. It’s on the bottom left hand side of the page and if you click the get widget button at the bottom of it, it will ask you where you want to add it, i.e. myspace, then it will take you to myspace where you login and that’s it. You’re done, it will automatically add it to your myspace page or facebook or whatever you want to use. If you enjoy the site why not share it with your friends?
BMWK TV will make a return, after the first episode I’ve been working on some things trying to get the bugs out. Also we’re in talks to start doing a column on another prominent site so we’ll let you know when that goes down. If you have any suggestions for things you want to see, things you love about the site or things you could do without let us know by emailing us at info@blackandmarriedwithkids.com or by leaving a comment.
