My man Janks Morton of What Black Men Think fame has created another response to CNN’s Black In America this time focused around the “stat” that they showed saying 1 in 20 DC residents is infected with HIV.

What a powerful clip. I don’t belive the stats though.
I did hear that Aids is more rapid in the states than thiird world countries. Now that is a shame. Another shame is to single out one deomografic (area) in America) Our black community needs to get tested. We don’t shun little Ray Ray’s mom because her son is back in jail. We don’t shun little Ray Rays mom because he has made her a grandmother out of wed lock with many woman for the 5th time. I think we should encourage our family that we know are sexually active to get an Aids test. Not knowing is ignorant and I am so tired of ppl not taking responsibility for their being. If you don’t want a STD wrap it up or don’t have any form of sex. I know that Aids is contracted by more ways than sex and some got it from transfusions/ organ donors, or sharing or using their own needle. It still does not make it right that someone who even knows they have Aids is in the ” I don’t give a damn” and chooses to purposely infect as many as they can so they can get back at the one who they contracted it from. I can tolerate a whole lot. A racist is a racist. I would rather prefer to know one is than not. Some men think that a womans place is in the home, I can deal with that and disagree. I don’t like the ignorace of someone with their own body to spread such a disease around knowling. Aids is no joke! I know two men who died from it and one woman living with it.. Sorry about my rambling, but I get mad at ignorance, stupidy and selfishness. Aids has no color, but for CNN to address what we already know I am not mad at them but disappointed becasue I am tired of my race being singled out every time they want to do a story for ratings. Just my 50 cents worth of a comment. SMH. Some ppl are thier own worst enemy.
