Daddy’s Little Girl – A Response To Mama’s Boy

The other day I did a post about mama’s boys after hearing a letter on the Steve Harvey show regarding the topic. You guys left a lot of excellent comments on the subject and people were a lot more interested in the subject than I expected. Regular reader Anna suggested we put the shoe on the other foot and do something about women who are given the world by their daddy’s and want their men to treat them the same way. Now we’re not talking about just your normal affection, we’re talking that silver spoon is still hanging cocked from the corner of her mouth like a Marlboro. You know what we’re talking about.

Now this topic made me think since I have three young girls. I looove my little girls and have even started the first official branch of “Daddy’s Girls Club” complete with my three card carrying members. We hold regular meetings and all :-) Now I give them the business when they’re cutting up but I’m always loving them up with hugs and affection. The mom is always buying them crap stuff so I don’t have to do too much on that end but I’m sure when they get old enough to start buying their own things and are hitting me up for money as long as the grades are tight I’ll be a pushover. I’ve even commented in previous posts that a man may want a son to shoot hoops with and to throw the football too but nothing melts your heart like a little girl. Anyway I’m starting to daddy ramble ( if you all were here I’d be pulling a picture out of my wallet). Will they be this type of girl? I want them to have high standards but don’t want them to end up being a lonely snob. (There’s only one black snob I’m cool with)

BMWK, do you know a daddy’s girl, I’m talking an extreme one, not just somebody that loves their dad? Are you one? Fellas have you dated one, what was the outcome? Should a girls daddy be the standard if he’s a good guy? So many questions, somebody comment please….

Girls supposed to be spoiled and rotten to the core as babies…only. As they grow into young ladies, its time to continue Daddys love so they don’t be looking for it in other boys/men but make them independent also. I’m sure that The Dad’s girls will be fine because they have two strong and independent parents.

I cant speak much on the spoiled and rotten female because I am not and don’t know too many. I have an older cousin whose dad still pays her rent when she “can’t”.

The only thing that really bothers me is when the affection goes overboard. In my opinion once a girl hits her teens, things like sitting on DADDY’s lap should stop. Especially for an extended period of time. It is border line incestuous! Creeps me out…

I was wonderig if there are any men who had to compete with their father-in-law as far as money and matriral things are invloved. Some daddys girls do not want to become finanically independent and will go behind a brothers back to get what can’t be provided from their husband(or think they are too good to get a J O B) or don’t know how to wait for it because they want it now and call dear old dad.
