@Michael - who said you were not welcomed here? I didn't see that part on the site where it said anyone was not welcomed. The name of the site is BMWK because that's what we are and that's our point of view. We have readers who are not black, not married and don't have children but they don't get bent out of shape, they take what they can from the site, join our community or if they are not interested they keep on clicking through to the next site.

The web was missing a site where someone like myself or my wife could discuss issues that are unique to a black couple raising their kids together and being married despite negative stereotypes and images that are floating around so we filled that void. If you're somehow offended I'm sorry but that's the beauty of the Internet, there are billions of other sites to choose from.

I just wonder do people ever go to G&L sites and ask them why they're leaving out heterosexuals or go to latino sites and ask why they're speaking in Spanish. Does Univision or Telemundo get complaints and letters saying they're excluding everyone?

Hello, I was looking for some ideas for a packed lunch, and came across your site. However, I am a white Italian-French American living in Spain, so I guess I am not welcome here. Why do you wish to isolate yourself and alienate me? Aren't kids just kids, no matter the color? I do not understand.

Thanks for this article. School started for us on Monday and it is cheaper and healthier to take lunch rather than buy. So far the kiddies have taken ham and cheese on wheat, pizza, chicken chunks, fruit, juice, yogurt. Next week is peanut butter and honey!

Would love to hear any other ideas.
