Normally we wouldn’t talk about issues like we have the past few days because we realize we may lose some readers who aren’t down the the “O” man or what we have to say but… it’s whatever. If we lose em we lose em. This election is too important for us to sit by and play the middle. I’ve been watching the Repubs play the gender card all weekend (you know how they always say Barry plays the race card LOL). Just when I was about to share this wild rumor that was blowing up on the web about the 6mos. old baby being Palin’s daughter’s and not hers they come out with the real story, I guess that her teenage daughter is pregnant. Plus the info that she’s hired a lawyer to assist with the investigation going on in Alaska. People (including those in Alaska who should have been interviewed about the Gov.) are starting to ask did McCain’s camp do their homework, or any homework on this woman? And there are rumors that members of his political team are heading to AK to do more vetting.

Are you serious. When they wanted to take the attention from Barack I don’t think this is what they had in mind. This is like watching a reality show. Unbelieavable. Also hat tip to reader, “MarriedToIT” who posted audio on her blog of Palin laughing when a radio host called her opponent the “B” word. Now you know if that was Obama he would have gotten roasted for that and had to denounce somebody. LOL

    I don’t think it’s hurt the GOP. The people who were voting for McCain and/or that party are still likely to do so. I doubt there will be a swell of votes for Obama over this either. It’s just chatter. And independents who weren’t inclined to vote for Obama/Dem party likely still won’t do so.

    Let me clarify. I think there are some undecideds who *will* vote for him now simply because it’s messy. I don’t think the diehard conservatives will leave their party over this stuff. Now…if something else happens, who knows.

    I don’t know if it will hurt the Republicans or not. Republicans have the ability to seemingly forget and forgive any and everything that someone in their party does. When it came out the Jamie Lynn Spears was pregant, Republicans RIPPED her. But now, that the daughter of McCains potential VP is in the same situation its “All famlies have problems.” True, they do, But when you are running for public office, you are running to be a representative of the people. To that account, you are held to a higher standard than most. What may or may not be acceptable in everyday families should not be acceptable for your family when you are representing the public. But, again, like I said. Republicans are blind when it comes to seeing faults within themselves.

    i am so proud that my candidate – BARACK OBAMA – has consistently taken the high road. Obama has repeatedly stated that families (especially children) are off limits.

    Obama’s actions show a man who is willing to focus on the issues!

    Mccain picked her because he doesn’t want anybody in the VP slot that’s gonna challenge him, or that has more experience than him. He’s talked down about the VP slot in the past saying that he wouldn’t take it cause all they do is go to funerals.

    He may ask her to step down which would be awful cause then he’d get to pick someone like Romney, Huckabee, or maybe another woman with more experience. But then again it would really show that he has bad decision making skills.

    I just hate that this election is about to become all about Palin and her 17 y/o daughter. I can’t really fault the mom, cause who hasn’t been 17 y/o and done some stupid stuff.

    I am willing to bet she will be pulled off the ticket before the end of this month…it’s sad that society is completely focused on her personal challenges and not her challenges politically.

    Sarah lost the election for Mccain because of her animal rights attitude. To hunt animals from a helicopter with a high powered weapon is unforgivable. I think it’s best for her to say home and keep breeding.
