After all, I heard on the news that the new way the pedophiles are getting to the kids are through text messaging on cell phones, in addition to the computer and usual ways. I still think that unless the kid is paying the bills, mom or dad snooping is fine. Because anything the kid does as a minor, the parents have to answer for. "Where were the parents?" is a question you hear all the time if something bad happens. If the kid isn't doing anything wrong (and they ALWAYS know if they're doing wrong, which is why they wanna hide stuff) then there's no problem. My husband and I are in agreement: our children will have no "privacy". The climate today is that kids should have privacy. A certain level of privacy sure, but not total.The society we live in here where children are raped, murdered, a parent would and should be liable if so event should take place. Trust is earned and a vast majority of these children can't be trusted because they are not being taught honor or trust worthiness.Everybody who has a child is a parent. Too many children lack guidance or expections from the people who should be the moral compass of life and direction.
