Obama’s Gonna Get me Fired!
Let me start off by saying I am still flying high on my emotions about Obama being elected the First African American President!!! And I am still elated about the fact that we have elected someone that is truly going to bring about change in the Country……and in the World. BUT………I am getting tooo much OBAMA stuff in my inbox!!
Last week, when I got an Obama email in my inbox I was like Wow…… that is a cool picture of the first family. Oh my goodness, I love that presentation of Michelle and Obama…I just love their relationship. Ha ha ha ha… that was funny Obama is rapping. I even called my mom and said: “Hey Mom…did you see that one with Obama and Martin…….Wow..that was a powerful statement.” But this week, I’m like: Hmmm Obama’s …I might not be so amused.
Yesterday at the Hairdresser, a bunch of us ladies were talking about how we felt about Obama being elected. One lady said she cried – - out loud. She said she boo hooed for like 10 minutes..and her kids were like mom what’s wrong. My hairdresser said she swelled up…but the tears did not flow…..but she is still very proud. And then one lady said she worked for a public school here in the area. And she told us that on the day after the election, a teacher sent everyone in the school that picture of the first family ( you know the one that has been circulating of the entire Obama Family in front of the presidential seal ….. we even have that picture up on the site today.) Well another teacher (obviously a McCain supporter) responded and said that this is not proper use of school resources. Oh boy….she should not have done that ….because the entire school came down on her hard. They told her this was history and therefore it was proper to send out these emails to the entire school… they straight went off on her.
When I signed on to my work email this morning, I had a notice from the server administrator ” Reduce your mail file size before your mail functions are disabled” And I thought, I just cleaned out my inbox about a week ago, I should not be getting this message yet. And then it dawned on me, I have like 200MB of Obama attachments in my inbox. So I have to clean that out this morning. But I know one thing for sure, you are not gonna catch me sending out emails stating this is not proper use of work resources… I think I will wait a week or so before I do that… so that I don’t catch the wrath like that one teacher did!!
So is Obama really going to get me fired… of course not.. But somebody might get fired…….that person that is spending all of their time creating those Obama presentations instead of doing their work…or making those Obama poems…. well they might just get a reminder from their boss to get back to work.
