Black Friday Nonsense: Wal-Mart Employee Gets Trampled To Death

Wal-Mart customers in Long Island, NY trampled a store employee to death as they made a mad dash for Black Friday savings. They continued to trample and push employees that tried to help the man and also pushed and shoved police officers that arrived on the scene. I think the police should have pushed, shoved, and hit back after that nonsense. I just can’t understand stupid actions like this, it’s really not that serious people. After hearing store announcements that everyone had to leave because someone had been killed, customers were heard complaigning that they had been on line since yesterday morning. Wow, your 13″ TV for your kitchen in more important than a human life? Here is a link to the article and video is below:

This is exactly what I can't stand about the holiday season. It's turned into a greedy, commercial, materialistic hot funky mess. And I'm saying...it's WAL-MART, people. The stuff is already dirt-cheap anyway--I mean, how much more of a "deal" were they going to get? Now a man's dead all because folks didn't know how to act over some rollbacks. *SMH*

^^ I agree, it's sick what the holiday season has turned into. I was in that area on Black Friday too, but I know better than to go to that Wal-Mart. Last year, they were fighting before they even got inside. So sad that someone had to lose their life for a couple sales.

My sentiments exactly. Don't we get everything we want in America anyway? Sometimes it seems as though it's my daughter's birthday every weekend. We're losing the traditions behind Christmas, but we can bring it back. The first and only time that my husband and I fell for Black Friday was the year that I was pregnant. My husband dropped me off at Wal-Mart as he went to Best Buy. We got to the stores right at open. People were acting crazy, so I hid in the water aisle figuring, if anything happened, like the lights went out and doors locked, at least I have supplies. My husband didn't get what he was looking for at Best Buy and the vacuum that we HAD to get broke a month later. Retailers love the drama of Black Friday, but it's not good for the soul.

The saddest thing that I read about this story is that the man who died "was not trained in crowd control". WTH is that. He did not get a chance to control a crowd that decided it was time for them to break through the doors before he got the chance to unlock them. Some of the injured have already let the "ambulence chasers" file the papers to sue. "Tis the Season".

honestly, not to sound like a lame-o or anything like that--but i had never even heard of 'black friday' until a couple of years ago. how people are up that early in the morning after eating all of that good stomach ache food and drinks is beyond my daydreams. we're still in the bed in that Deep Sleep!

I dont think that man should of died by getting trampeled by walmart lovers on black friday. They should've gone in a orderly fashioned line. The store isn't going to run away they had like 9 hours to shop!

This is a tragic example of just how far our civilization has fallen.I don't even hardly believe these animals are really even a part of the human species. It's Christmas,a time of loving, compassion, and caring for others.Who started this its a season for stupidity and savagry anyway? It is a tragedy and NY should be ashamed. First the people that forced the doors open should be charged with braking and entering therefore be held responsible for the death that occurred. Those behind them should all be charged with manslaughter. Second the family of the deadman should sue every person in that crowd for liability and get whatever those "people"owned. Thirdly they should all be deported to antartica where they can join the penguins who are well known for thier pushing and shoving.

I agree totally I can't believe this guy is dead! What in the world has our holiday turned into! I mean really, this is just telling of how greedy we are! Christmas is supposed to be about celebrating Jesus and having eachother around to celebrate good memories. I mean really I wished alot we didn't have materialism, and money, and that we should only have what we need, that would really show these greedy people in line for ''Black friday''. WOW, aren't you proud now you killed a man trying to get a Flat screen T.V. or a Wii for your son!!! UGH!!!!!
