New Year Resolutions For Kids

Now that you’ve made the age old resolutions of losing weight, saving money and living right what about your kids? Well we ran across an article on the web from the American Academy of Pediatrics that gives you 20 Healthy New Years Resolutions for Kids. It’s broken down into three categories that are: Preschoolers, Kids 5-12 and Kids 13 and up. Here are a few examples from each group.

Preschoolers

I will clean up my toys.

Kids 5-12

I will try to find a sport (like basketball or soccer) or an activity (like playing tag, jumping rope, dancing or riding my bike) that I like and do it at least three times a week!

Kids 13 and up

I will wipe negative “self talk” (i.e. “I can’t do it” or “I’m so dumb”) out of my vocabulary.

    Thanks for sharing this article. I have already made my 2009 Goals Collage and never thought of making goals for my son. Even though he's only 2, I think I will make three goals with/for him.     I wish I would have thought of New Years resolutions when my kids were growing up, of course I would have made them for my kids to not "ask mommy for more money the day after getting my weekly stipen". LOL.
