30-Day Challenge – Update!

From the comments on last week’s post, I can tell that most of us are struggling a little bit with this one. I will be the first to put my hand in the air and say that I have fallen way short these past fifteen days. My, oh, my. I think I actually might have been a better wife BEFORE I did this challenge!

It’s not that I’m this horrid, nagging wife – quite the opposite, in fact. We’ve moved into a bigger space (almost three times the size of our former apartment) and my hubby has staked out his territory in the basement a.k.a. the “Man Cave.” As a result, I simply don’t see him.

I put the kids to bed and he retreats to his surround-sound, wide-screen LCD TV, ESPN HD headquarters. I usually go to bed before he does so I usually only see him in the mornings, in the mad dash to get the kids to daycare and head off to work. It’s not that I’ve been falling short – it’s that I’ve been FORGETTING. Forgetting to do something nice for my husband, as if it requires any type of brain activity at all. How sad is that?

How have you all been doing? Better than me? Worse? Let us know!

I must agree with you Tara, I think I was doing better before I started the 30 day challenge. This is a little harder for be because my hubby and I are on the brink of divorce and any actions I do I feel I am being genuine about, but my hubby can’t figure out why I’m doing these things or being nicer. We’ll see how this week goes.

@Mom of 3- have you seen the movie Fireproof? If not, I suggest you watch the movie with your husband (if possible.)

I am so sorry to hear this from anyone. As mentioned from the above comemts, please stay with the challenge and share your comments and the movie with your husband. Marriage is not easy and divorce is even harder when kids are apart of it. Best of wishes and prayers to you. Can you fall back in love with your spouse? (In my best Palin voice) You betcha. LOL. FYI. I don’t know anything about this movie that all are talking about. I will be considerate and pop some corn and make sure a “March Madness” game is not on when I subliminally watch with hubby.
