We were sent this list of interesting sites that are kid friendly and wanted to share with them with you, our readers. Enjoy!

In these tough times, a lot of families are opting for Spring Break “stay-cations” instead of big holiday trips. But if you’re staying home, it can be hard to keep the kids entertained and out of trouble. Many parents are naturally cautious about letting their kids loose on the Internet, but there is a lot of good, free, appropriate content available online – if you know where to look. Here’s a list of 10 web sites to bookmark that can help your kids beat Spring Break boredom if they’re staying home.

Best Set-and-Forget Web Environment for Kids

It gives kids access to millions of Web sites (including all of the below), YouTube videos, games and photos that have been vetted by a team of parents and teachers. Kids love the cute little avatars they can create and the safe social networking features, and parents love the fact that there’s no chance of enquiring minds stumbling across anything inappropriate.

I added this to my favs. Great info. Kids today don’t have the attention span to play board games like “Life or Monolpoly. It takes too long. LOL. The neighborhood kids will soon be knocking at my door being spring has almost sprung and want to know how I will entertain them. These websites will keep them entertained for hours while their moms and dads get a break away from them and know where they are. Thanks. Can you tell it’s about me and not about the kids. LOL. Kids have always added as much to my life as I hope I have to theirs.

Thanks for the info. I got on the site and there is no downloading. Just click and play. I would say that this site is user friendly and for ages 3-10 or in my case 41.

Oh, can I add one more?

It’s done by the folks who do Sesame Street and Children’s Television Workshop to teach kids about people around the world, so of course there are lots of lovable puppets/muppets. My toddler loves it to pieces.
