My fiance and I used to send "love texts" back and forth during the day. Sometimes I polish my step daughters fingernails (she just turned 4) and she loves it. Before Thanksgiving I took her to the salon with me and got her hair done with me (her aunt usually cornrows it). But I think there's more that I can do for them. She just got a princess oven for her birthday so I plan to help her with that, baking "cakes".

It is the little things that are the most memorable.
I do have a sister who I call "The Black Martha Stewart". She can buy a plain t shirt or a pair of jeans for her twin daughters and make them look "designer". She may not have learned to knit or crochet from our grandmother but she knows her way around a glue gun and a sewing machine. She makes such crafty personalized gifts for the rest of the family that it makes you smile when you receive it. My last born is creative like my big sis. I am creative in the "cooking department". My sister and daughter are creative in making things "their own". Neither can cook. LOL. How they both are able to make such great "unique" things is beyond me, they both burn boiled eggs and ramen noodles. (Eggs use to be cheap while noodles are still priced cheaply, it's the only foods we can afford for them to burn and not turn out right but still allow them in the kitchen, so they both can say "dinner is done and I helped". LOL.

I LOVE the loving sticky notes on your laptops and have no shame in saying I will be stealing that idea!

My better half always makes my sandwiches in the morning. Usually we leave the house at the same time, but even when we don't my sandwich is always waiting for me on the counter.

My small gifts to him are my scalp massages. Every couple of days I always give him a scalp massage with warmed essential oils. Lately he'll even request one if I've gone a day or two and forget.

And yesterday I ordered a DVD set of his favorite Jamaican Comedy 'Oliver at Large.' He's always watching it(and dying laughing on nearly every episode) on youtube because its an old series so I decided to google it and get him the DVD set.
