Distance Does It

You know the old saying, “Distance makes the heart grow fonder”. Well this is true and something you should try from time to time. Breaking up the monotony of the same old same old day after day isn’t a bad idea so get creative and figure out how to do it.

Whenever one of us has to go out of town alone it seems like the flame gets kicked up a notch like Emril would say and by the time we reunite the roof is on fire – we don’t need no water let that m#$ errrr you get the point.

Well the same also goes for the kids. Recently we had a getaway with just the two of us and by the time we got back home we missed the kids and they missed us (until the next morning when it was time to get ready for school and the nonsense that goes along with it).

So you get the point, break up your day to day routine and see if it ads extra spice then let us know how it turned out.

BMWK family, does leaving each other for short periods get the flame going? Does it recharge your relationship with your spouse and/or children if you’re apart for a few days? Let us know.

My 11 year old daughter had a dance competition that required us to leave home @ 8:30 a.m. and return @ 1:30 a.m. later on that night. My husband & I texted each other all that day and talked on the phone countless times. We were only about an hour and a half away from home. But I guess it was the fact that it was an all day trip. Just knowing that this trip would be an all day thing, made me so anxious to get back home to the man I fell in love with almost 10 years ago! He missed me & the kids (I also took our 3 year old son along to give daddy a day away from both of the kids)! The next day he was up making breakfast for all of us, as if we had been gone for a week!

Hey i am going through the same thing with my lady. She is all i ever wanted in a woman. The times we spend together are really explosive and sweet. We enjoy each other’s company to the fullest. When we have to go our seperate ways depression starts to kick in.I find things to keep us afloat and enjoyable. We tend to get frustrated, but in the end we make it work. It’s a good learning experience for those who are not sure about their relationship. This has helped me see how special my woman really is and how she feels.I love you baby eveyday and all night.
