Radio Personality Rashan Ali Will Moderate This Powerhouse Panel Designed to Help Entrepreneurial Dreams Become A Reality

(ATLANTA, GA) – The Kappa Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated will host a business planning seminar titled “Write The Vision – The Keys To A Successful Business Plan,” in an effort to offer additional support and options to those facing financial difficulties in this season of the economy. This seminar will be held Saturday May 16, 2009 from 9-11 am at the Kappa Omega Community Center located at 3850 Stone Road SW, Atlanta, Georgia 30281.

Free and open to the public, this seminar falls under the auspices of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority’s Platform One – Non-Traditional Entrepreneurs, which focuses on women seizing opportunities in the area of business development and growth. The sorority currently has five programmatic focuses, which are all aimed at strengthening, educating and empowering the urban community.

“As Alpha Kappa Alpha responds to the contemporary needs of the Black community, it is our goal is to transfer knowledge and enthusiasm to its members, community and beyond, ” said Bettye Boyd, President of the Kappa Omega Chapter. “We hope this event will allow everyone to realize their enormous potential for empowerment, security and progress through entrepreneurship.”

Attendees will learn the basic components of a business plan and will also receive insight about how banks evaluate proposals submitted for funding. They will also get tips on how to verbally present their business ideas to potential investors or customers and how to balance entrepreneurship with family, health and other important areas. The event will be moderated by Rashan Ali of Hot 107.9 FM and will feature panelists who represent a broad range of achievement in business and entrepreneurship.
