As a mom of four, having time to myself during the day is very rare. However, I have managed to carve out at least two short periods throughout my day to have to myself. The first is my morning jog and the second is my shower. My husband is always complaining that my showers are too long and he’s right. But that is one of the only times during the day that I am alone and it’s like my own little spa getaway. That’s why I was thrilled when Suave sent me some of their body washes and lotions to try.

For the last couple of days, I have been using Suave’s Natural Wild Cherry Blossom Indulgent Body Wash. And I absolutely love it. It’s light cherry scent helps me to transform my shower in to relaxing get away (until I hear little hands beating on the bathroom door asking me to come out of there.) And as always, Suave’s products are very affordable.

At the end of a long day, I try to go for a 4 mile trek. I walk, listen to the birds singing, and–quite literally–smell the roses. Once I get home, I lock myself in the bathroom, light a candle in the window (preferably Glade’s strawberries and cream) and hop in the shower to wash all the residual sweat and stressors away.

By the time I get out of the shower, my main men (husband and sons) will have warmed up the leftovers, we’ll sit down for a meal, and then unwind by talking, playing scrabble or watching old sitcom DVDs (The Cosby Show, House of Payne and Bernie Mac are our favorites).

The ideal night of relaxtion for me, includes a nice bubble bath followed by retreating to a quiet part of the house with something great to read. I tell my children to ask their father for whatever they need cause it is MY TIME. All moms need time just for them!!!

At the end of a long day, I like to sit back with my family maybe in front of the tv with some snacks in between us, and just chat and laugh and make conversation! nothing like good old family bonding time!

What do I do to relax after a long, hard day of work? Of course, I whip up some baked goodies or (if I’m feeling lazy, go to the local supermarket and grab my favorite apple pie) and just sit down outside my backyard with my dog, and just eat until I’m about to burst! Trust me, food definitely makes you feel a lot more relaxed — then after, I go back inside for a nice bath. Try this!
