I truely agree with the woman in the video, she talks about how we dig our own graves, and it’s up to us to except or digest our own image, which I feel is very important , because our images as being black, with a successful marriage, will end up being a reflection of our children’s future,in terms of our children, and the decisions that they makebecause of the examples we set for them now, will reflect later when our history ,and their future.I also agree that divorce is not a scape goat to end your problems in a marriage…I truely believe in till death do us part, and that you ae suppose to be by your spouse side through sickness, health , and through good and bad times….I always look back at our elderly ancestors , with admiration, and say to my spouse,I want to be able to grow old with you till daeth do us part.I’m not saying that it will be easy, but through Christ, and a strong bond of love, anything os possible , as long as you keep Jesus Christ first in both of your lives! As far as success, it takes determination, and hard work, but it won’t be so hard if two people are looking outward in the same direction(toward success..)I feel that it is important for the parents , especially the men, to teach our daughters, about the ways of a man , and how to deal with them, and how to know of they are encountering a good man! I don’t feel like a woman could explain no better thatn a man himself, because a woman can know only so much about a man from experience, but only a man can tell someone how a man thinks, positively, and negatively…I don’t think we should allow room for the boyfriend to teach them, due to the fact of maturity. An older man would have alot more wisdom, and would’nt only tell them what they want to hear, which is waht would come from a boyfreind, verses a positive man role model/ father figure…

You are going to have a lot of firsts as a new wife. Is married life as you thought it would be so far. Things may be the same but it really is a different experience. I know I calmed down and got less sick after marriage. It’s peace of mind and mental security. Enjoy married life and the first year does go by really fast. I am on a dozen years of marriage and we still can’t belive it, we are more in love now, but still like each other. LOL.
