This Space Is Too Small

Does it feel like the days are getting shorter to you? Just yesterday, it was January 09, and now Christmas is right around the corner! With each passing day, there is a push emanating from within my family to go higher, to increase in excellence, to allow God to be glorified in our lives. Everything is changing all around us, and the excitement is tangible and electrifying.

Simultaneously, there is a negative push that would attempt to have us make impulsive decisions during this time of excitement. We realize that every choice that we make now will dictate and govern the next 5-10 years, so we are cautious and covered under the wisdom and guidance of trusted and true mentors.

That said, what do you do when you get to a point where your space is too small?

  • Don’t complain! As a baby in your mother’s womb, the form you were in as a seed fit on the tip of a safety pin! Never despise your small beginnings!
  • Stretch out and test your skills. As a baby becomes acquainted with extremities within the womb, get acquainted with your gifts and talents! A 9 to 5 can’t hold your creativity! Expand your horizons beyond just what is paying the bills for now, and believe that it will make room for you in amazing ways later!
  • Stay humble. You haven’t always been Mr. or Mrs. Big Stuff. Realize that success  (and all that comes with each new dimension of it) doesn’t make you…it only magnifies who you already are.
  • With each new dimension of success and fulfillment of vision comes new challenges that must be overcome. Don’t be surprised when opposition comes both internally and externally.
  • Trust God! He would not have orchestrated such an opportunity if you weren’t ready for it.

Like a baby getting ready to burst forth into the earth to fulfill purpose and destiny, we, too have umbilical cords of comfort zones and familiarity to cut so we can feed our purpose and destiny substance that will place us on solid ground. When it feels like your space is too small, pack your bags and jump into the unknown! Your destiny awaits!

God bless!
