Cute post. Harriet we do think we are all well when we are not. I have found myself thinking I can cook dinner and do some laundry. It will wipe you out worse, thinking we are ok and not completly giving our body a chance to rest off what orginally made us sick. Of course we are women and we are not allowed to get sick. LOL. I don't like to take things for granted, my job, my kids/hubby/family, my health. I don't end a phone converstation without saying "I Love You". Even at work there are many customers that will say it to me and I repeat it because we really mean it.
LOL @ him calling your mama. Usually when a woman gets sick we don't want to be sick for more than a day. When some men get sick they will milk it for a week. They will still go to work but want more extra pampering when they get home. It's ok. We know we love taking care of our sick husbands. At least I know I do.

MrsT,

It's always refreshing to find out that I'm not crazy. ROFL!!! My husband has learned to accept the fact that I need my space in bed, but it wasn't always comforting to him.

Yet when I was feverish and had hot and cold chills, his embrace really helped a sister out. :o) He tattled on me to my mama, though (grrr). For some reason he asserted that I'm not superwoman. I think it was when I thought I was feeling better, so I got up and fixed this elaborate meal. Needless to say, once everything was finished, I was SPENT. I could barely move after that!

AND...I got worse...couldn't even taste the food I had fixed! :o/ But I was hard headed and insisted on getting up. And he told my mama, who quickly rebuked me as well. LOL When he can't do anything with this stubborn woman, he knows exactly who to call on: the Lord and my mama. ROFL!!

Harriet I totally just sent this post to my husband because I had to show him I'm not the only one who needs my sleep space. I swear my husband is like an electric blanket and I just can't be too close to him for too long when I'm trying to sleep. We cuddle for a little while then I'm off to my side of the bed where its 10 degrees cooler. I appreciate the reminder about not taking our loved ones for granted but it was the sleep space part that really made me smile today. Hope you're feeling better.

Whyte23,

As always, your commentary is so refreshing! In case my husband doesn't read this (but I'm sure he will), I'll be sure to pass your message along to him.

I tried to keep it clean on here, but I think I actually had the flu (fever, chills, aches...the whole 9). My men took really good care of me, though. :o) That's what family is all about.

Good Day Harriet,

The little things I take for granted?
Not to appreciate when someone does (an act, duty, role,) the little things for me whether it's at home , work place , church , store etc...anytime or place in my everyday Life! To simply say; " Thank You"!

Nice Article Mrs.Harriet ....Continue to share with us concerning what a healthy marriage and the example to what a Good Husband is to do when our soul-mate is feeling less than 100%. I know for in Whyte House if "My Queen" goes down....We All Are HIT. Yes, we as men can carry the load for a day or maybe even two days. After, that's when Honey, Baby how much longer would be the next words coming out of my mouth.

Hope you're feeling back to 110% sooner than later....Tell your husband to keep up the good work. He's keeping us accountable!

Thank you for reading,
