Student Kicked Out Of School For Blackface Aunt Jemima Costume
A teenage student in Long Island was sent home from school after showing up last week dressed as Aunt Jemima.
Jeziorkowski, 17, refused to back down over the brouhaha, and his family refused to comment yesterday.Fellow student Danny Cuevas, 16, who was out trick-or-treating in Jeziorkowski’s neighborhood, defended the teen.“I don’t think it’s that racist,” he said. “At one point in time, that might have been seen as racist but not now.”

I thought it was ok until I read the whole article. Black face is not cool. Parents if the kid is old enough to pick our thier own custome it’s up to our mature judgment to decide if it’s approiate or not. It’s also up to us to make sure we know what they are wearing before they go out. Last year I saw a teen in a pimp suit and 3 girls in short skirts and high heels who were his prostitutes. Not cute. Some homes should turn off the music videos.
That whole Jemima thing is so wrong, and the parents know it(and child too, because at 17 she’s old enough to know better).
