Product Review: Lego Duplo (Fire Station)

We were asked to review one of  the new Lego Duplo sets and we were not disappointed. When we were first asked about it we pretty much knew what to expect. We have a 16  year old son that has been a Leo fanatic since back in the day LOL. The thing that’s cool about this new line of Legos called the Duplo are that the pieces are made a little larger so they are easier for the small kids to handle.

My only gripe with the Lego set is the age listed on the outside of the box. The box states ages 2-5, well… can I tell you how much fun my 1 and 7 year olds had as well as our 3 year old? The broke the Legos out on more than one occasion and were engaged for close to an hour each time. Another bonus for us was also since there were so many parts they weren’t fighting over every little piece. We even broke them back out when we had company over to watch some football and the kids in attendance went to town. Now I’d be lying if I said that we ever got them to look like the picture on the box but the kids had a ball every time they played with the set none the less. I would definitely recommend them as you try to fill out your holiday shopping list.
