Our family doesn’t really make resolutions anymore .. we weren’t making it to far past March w/ them when we did. Now we make a daily commitment to each other as husband/wife to pray for one another and to spend time in prayer with our sons and FOR our sons. We pray for their lives now and for their futures. We also spend a week alongside our church to fast from the evening meal and television the first full week in January to focus on what God has to say for the coming year and spending the time we would be in eating in prayer.

Happy New Year!

I personally don’t believe in the whole “New Years Resolution” thing… Waiting for a specific day on the calendar to come around in order for me or someone in my family to begin doing something that we probably be doing RIGHT NOW is too much like procrastination… lol

“…If Not NOW, Then When?”

That’s a question I ask myself whenever I feel the desire to set a resolution or honestly put anything off that I could do right then…

It’s like that candy bar commercial when they say “Hungry, why wait?” If you recognize a change is needed, why wait???

New Year’s Resolutions For Your Family,
To me making a Resolution one can’t keep, is hard enough. To make a “Family Resolution” means “I can make any family member do what I say. It’s unrealisticl. My Resolution is to coninue not making it a resolution, but to continue doing what I do that was done to me. Stay out of my (adult kids business) and allow them to come to me when they want/need advice.

Just to “Practice what you Preach” & don’t be a Hypocrite. Shouldn’t tell the kids to:

-read & they NEVER see my wife and I read.
-be careful who you hang out with & Daddies friends add nothing to his life.
-eat healthy and get some exercise, while I sit on the couch and eat.
-be the Change that we want to see in others.

Not a resolution, but a mind set I guess.
