Amen for sharing .... Tony Dungy is a pillar for our leadership role model so others can follow his example. 1.A believer of faith of our lord and savior....he's open and would share it with the world. 2.He's not only a NFL Superbowl Champion Football Coach. First such win for an African American coach. Before becoming a coach, Dungy played three seasons in the NFL. 3.Dungy is the #1 New York Times bestselling author of Quiet Strength and Uncommon. 4. Mentor to Michael Vick counseling him during his incarceration.....as respect for his Christian faith and good works. (He began a mentoring program for young people called Mentors for Life). Prison Crusade Ministry, foster parenting organizations, and Family First 5.We talk about integrity after the lost of his son...his faith in the Lord helped him and his family through a tough time in there life. Of course, for Dungy to understand the important of Black Marriage Day...as stated in the post. Openly supported an amendment to the Indiana constitution which would have defined marriage as solely between one man and one woman. .-= Whyte23´s last blog ..Putting Down Your Baggage =-.

I agree! @ Whyte23 He's a man of character, and I can't think of a more stately representative of black marriage (well, except for you...edward...lamar...ronnie...well, lots of y'all!) ROFL *Standing ovation* for Tony Dungy!

It is great to see Dungy step forward on this. I was not able to get anything together in time for this year, but it is on my radar for next year! Big or small steps, we have to keep on putting Black marriage in the public spectrum. A man like Dungy advances the conversation nationally
