Glad, we still have great examples of black fathers even though they are few and far between.

April what are you talking about?

Black people do come in all shapes, sizes & colors.

His wife looks ethnic. But she isn't anything close to what we think of when we say "black woman". He is not representing a black family with his wife. But there are lots of black people who marry black people who look like themselves. I have so much pride in my skin tone that I'm more attracted to a skin tone that matches mine. Hopefully I can get the attitude to match.

"she isn't anything close to what we think of when we say "black woman""

      Says who?

Do tell us at precisely what pigmentation concentration percentage do you become black enough to represent? Are we still employing paper bags and such to measure the approved level of blackness?

Rebecca Crews is a beautiful black woman, wife, & mother and you don't get to define her as otherwise because you have a preference for a darker skin tone. Get over your color struck self!

This comment is a prime example of Black Pride gone wrong. Black people come in all different hues. Now we have to marry someone who is the exact same hue as us? It's hard enough to find a good, compatible person - now people have to color match as well. Oh, lighten up (pun intended :) .

Right on!!! It's sad to see us racist within our own race....My mother, who is dark complexioned, was raised in foster care with her biological sisters, 1 was my mother's complexion and the other 2 were very light complexioned(1 of which had freckles). A church member who knew of the situation had the audacity to ask what happened to those 2? referring to my mother and my dark complexioned aunt!!! But that was in the 50's-60's!!!!I didn't realize that it was still the dark ages(pun intended) still. I guess these are the same people who rave about their baby having "good" hair.....

I don't understand how the color of his wife changes the fact that he is a black father and a black man. She's a woman of God and really that's all that matters. Why can't we embrace the positive and stop looking for a negative?

I was confused about whether Rebecca Crews was black but it doesn't really matter. As for the skin tone issue, we do come in all hues. My grandmother could've passed for white (until I was about 11, I thought she was!).
