I Own a Hybrid And I Like It

I’ve got an announcement to make. I’m a black man and I’ve got a hybrid, yeah I said it! And guess what, we love rocking the hybrid too. When we were looking I only had on stipulation, that the hybrid not look like a hybrid if you know what I mean LOL.

It was 2007 and gas prices were through the roof all around the country. In the DC area if I remember correctly a gallon of gas was quickly approaching 4 bucks. At the time I had an big SUV and what I was spending more on gas was than most people spent on their car notes. What we decided on was the Toyota Camry hybrid and we’ve been happy ever since. Great gas mileage and features that we like have been a definite bonus besides the fact that we just like how the car looks.

If you would have told us 5 years ago that we’d have a minivan and a hybrid car we would have thought that you were crazy but parenthood and a jacked up economy changes things.

This post above was a sponsored advertisement but still a true story nonetheless LOL.

I try so hard to be Eco friendly. It's not easy. A few yrs. ago regular unleaded gas where I live was $4.15. I don't drive far and can stop by the bank and grocery store on my way home from work. I called a car dealer Wednesday to purchase a new vehicle(new to me). This post made me feel guilty. I am far from flashy and if I can get from point A to point B and back to point A while driving, I am a happy camper. I will look into a Hybrid.
