Harpo beat Sophia, Sophia beat Harpo.. but the chilluns kept comin. How can you stand there and ignore "The Color Purple" I can go on and on... this my favorite movie of all times!!!!

    My favorite would have to be the dinner scene. Ceily finally stood up for herself after long suffering years. She had enough of Mister's abuse and told him off. I loved it, makes you realize that no matter your circumstance, you can leave a horrible situation.

    My favorite part is when Shugg is trying to sing her song Sista - and the spirit moves she starts singing God is trying to tell you something she gets to the church with all the sinners behind her and she goes to hug her father and he hugs her back and says see Daddy sinners need solitude too.

    My favorite part is when Mister is trying to cook breakfast for Shug Avery and he grabs the can of Kerosene. The next scene shows a vacated riocking chair where Celie was sitting.
