This video is absolutely gorgeous and that's what Love should be like til the end of time. I loved it the words are beautiful the sexy black bodies connected amazingly I can't say enough about this Love is beautiful and meant to be sexy and breathtaking
to explain my "tainch" for the record: this vid could have gotten the point across artistically without the full-body shots. i think the waist-up shots are the epitome of intimate, showing the breast-to-breast, heart-to-heart intimacy very well.
however, i see the use in the full body to correlate to the lyrics regarding planting seeds...
Shut up. Aren't you sick and tired of seeing pale thing white bodies with long lifeless hair on television, commercials and movies. White women's bodies are always being celebrated; it time that we do likewise and how better to do it than in the arms of this fine man. We should be celebrating that he did not choose a white model for the video
who said anything about white bodies? (for the record, had it been white bodies, i wouldn't have watched the whole thing and been impressed. i'm totally into mocha skin.) but back to the topic, my comment dealt with the artistic representation. nowhere did i mention race/ethnicity/skin tone.
Absolutely beautiful! It's naked, much like the type of love and commitment that they're singing about. Enternal, organic, natural, naked --it's all good. Oh, and it makes me want to re-commit to the P90X workout- LOL! I DIG!!
Some say this is too much. How can a full and authenic expression of Original Love, ever be too much, if nothing else, this is just what we need right now, at this time in our lives as Black People all over the diaspora! Self love, real love. We see others do this all the time and we dont question it...why question what is fully natural and exquisitely beautiful....More Black Love....TODAY
There is absolutely no way this is 'Too Much' . What it is... is a wonderful creative display of Black Love and Sexuality. It is a shame that African-Americans have become so "civilized" (by someone else's standards mind you) that we can hardly appreciate the beauty of our own Ebony "Melininated" skin. This was very soft, sensual and sexy not to mention sophisticated. BRAVO!!!!
This video was sensual, it was strong, it was moving, powerful, erotic, beautiful, a true masterpiece- this IS ART. I have read comments about it being "pornographic" which is so wrong. Yes, it is meant to arouse but this kind of an arousal is one of your spirit, mind and heart, not your loins. Some said the message could've been received with clothes on but I disagree. It wouldn't have been nearly as powerful, nearly as moving had they been clothed. The vulnerability of it, the message they conveyed through their words and their bodies. Two beautiful black people expressing their love to you raw, laying themselves bare....this has become an instant favorite of mine. We need more of this in music today and more pure, raw black love in the world :)
I love the video and it definitely encouraged me to hit the gym and do some squats. :) I'm 39, childless, and coming to terms with the fact that I'm getting older and may never marry. I'll say to everyone who find real love, Cherish it because it may be the only time it comes around.
Blessings,
