Travel Tuesday: Discover Paradise On A Second Honeymoon

The week before Valentine’s Day, I was late to work every day because I was watching the CBS Early Show’s contest, “Honeymoon: Take 2.” Four great and equally deserving couples competed for a spectacular dream honeymoon (6 nights/5 days) courtesy of the luxury travel network Virtuoso & American Airlines. The winning couple would celebrate their love at the magical private island resort, Musha Cay – the Islands of Copperfield Bay.
I had to watch and root for my favorite couple, Erica Westbrook & Darryl Willie from Oakland, California. The newlyweds – also childhood sweethearts – grew up in church together and share a love of salsa dancing. After Darryl showed Erica his two best salsa moves she was smitten. So, each morning I rooted for them to win this magical honeymoon. (After learning where they would vacation, I wanted to rent a husband and enter the contest myself. LOL)
Musha Cay – the Islands of Copperfield Bay is a private island resort with 11 private islands and 40 secluded beaches. Only 24 guests can enjoy the resort at any given time and they are invited by YOU. The name Copperfield should ring a bell, as it is well known for a certain magician who just happens to own the resort, David Copperfield.
The resort is truly private (you fly to Exuma Island and a boat takes you to the resort), and its beaches are as fine as sugar bordered by crystal blue waters. A private chef and a staff of 30 fulfill your every wish in one of the five luxurious guest houses. Each has its own private beach and a wrap around mahogany deck.
