Playdate Spashdown!

BMWK family, are we the only ones with water babies?

When it comes to the summertime, one of the most comprehensive ways for kids to have fun is and has always been by cooling off in water. Whether you grew up under spraying fire hydrants in the boroughs of New York or swimming laps at the local pool nothing takes the edge off of a hot summer day like H20.

Since moving to Georgia last summer we’ve been more than happy that our new neighborhood has a community pool and the kids love it! We hit the pool for easy recreation every few days and our young girls never seem to get tired of it.

When we do hit the pool our girls have a bag full of mandatory items that look something like this:

  • Pool Floats- Our two youngest daughters aren’t ready to hit the big pool on their own so when they do venture out of the baby pool we make them wear their floats. To be honest I don’t think our 4 y/o would have it any other way. She must have on the float and you must hold her at all times or she’s going to freak out LOL.

To see the rest of our list check out this post in it’s entirety over at our Kmart Playdate Place Blog.

Did your 8 y/o take lessons or did you teach her yourself?
