Reno 911 star and host of Clean House Niecy Nash has landed a docu-series to air on TLC. After over 5 million viewers tuned in to the star’s wedding special in June, the network has offered an 8 episode deal to debut early 2012. Nash’s show will be produced by Shed Media US, the production company behind other shows about wives such as Basketball Wives, Football Wives, The Real Housewives of New York, Bethenny Ever After, and OWN’s latest show Don’t Tell the Bride.
Niecy Nash’s Wedding Bash aired on TLC June 4, documenting the actress’ wedding planning and walk down the aisle. Her best friend, The View’s Sherri Shephard, was there for the ride, as both women were becoming second-time brides. Despite the brutal bridal bootcamp and venue drama, Niecy’s wedding turned out to be amazing and she looked gorgeous.
Nash will be the second black bride to have a reality show after her wedding special. VH1 documented Lala and Carmelo Anthony with LaLa’s Full Court Wedding, following with the series LaLa’s Full Court Life.
