BlackandMarriedWithKids.com Turns 4 Years Old!

We’re excited because we’re celebrating our 4th year on the web! Yep, four years ago this week we launched a website in hopes of showing that successful black marriages do exist. The old heads on the site will remember that we didn’t even use our real names back in the day. We started off as just a husband and wife team of two that blogged under the names TheDad and TheMom.

Fast forward four years and so many amazing things have happened as a result of this website that we couldn’t hardly name them all. We pray that as a result of being a faithful reader some amazing things have happened in your life as a result of this website as well.

Hopefully we’ve represented those who are Black and Married With Kids to the fullest and changed some perceptions and stereotypes along the way. We want to thank all of you, our faithful readers who let us know how much this site matters to you. This is what truly keeps us pushing when we get tired. Believe me, running a daily blog for 4 years is not an easy task as most bloggers will tell you but you make it feel easy. We also want to thank our great group of regular and contributing writers who have joined in to make this the top destination on the web for marriage and parenting articles no matter what color you are.

Below are just a few of the things that have happened over the past 4 years and we can’t wait to see happens the next four:

  • Over 2.3 million visitors have checked out our pages
  • Over 33 thousand comments have been left
  • This will be the 3, 258th article posted
  • You’ve supported the creation of three films on black marriage\family including sell outs in multiple cities
  • The Facebook page has over 95 thousand Facebook fans
  • Countless marriages have been increased!

Thank you for taking this journey with us.
