Review: Say Anything Family Edition Board Game

Looking for a board game that’s family friendly and not one of the same old games that you’ve been playing since you were a kid? If you answered yes then the family edition of Say Anything may be just for you.   We were given a free copy back in October when we were speaking at a social media conference and our kids love it.

When we played it with the kids it was hilarious. In it’s most basic form it works like this:

  • One player draws a card and asks a question like, what would be the most fun thing to throw off a tall building?
  • Everyone writes down an answer that they think the the person that’s asking will choose.
  • The person asking then selects an answer without telling anyone.
  • Then everyone gets to bet on which answer the person will choose. If you’re right you get points.
  • At the end of the game, most points win.

It’s a fairly simple game to play even with small kids. The suggested age is 8 and over but we played it with our 5 and 3 year olds and they had a ball. Our 3 year old needed some help but we got through it LOL. What I liked was that each card had a group of questions on it so we had the opportunity to pick a question each time that the kids would understand. The game play went pretty quick as well. I really dislike games that take a long time for each turn so we were kept happy there.

Check this out from the North Star Games website:

Say Anything is a game about what you and your loved ones think.   It gives you the chance to settle questions that have been hotly debated for centuries. For instance, “What magical power would be the coolest to have?” or “What would be the most fun thing to throw off a tall building?” So dig deep into your heart or just come up with something witty – this is your chance to Say Anything!

An outstanding share! I've just forwarded this onto a colleague who has been conducting a little homework on this. And he actually ordered me breakfast because I stumbled upon it for him... lol. So allow me to reword this.... Thank YOU for the meal!! But yeah, thanks for spending the time to talk about this topic here on your web site.
