Jay-Z Releases Song For Daughter, “Glory”

Jay-Z is a proud papa, letting the lyrics flow about his new baby girl. And is that baby Blue Ivy (or Ivy Blue) we hear in the background? Adorable.

Jay gets personal, talking about how beautiful his little girl is and how bright her future is based on the advantages her parents have laid down for her. He also talks about some of the struggles the couple faced in getting her here.

Some of the lyrics to the song, posted on his blog, Life and Times:

The most amazing feeling I feel

Words can’t describe what I’m feeling for real

Baby I paint the sky blue

My greatest creation was you…

I'm not a fan.  Maybe mom will come out with something better and maybe she'll wear all of her clothes in that video. Got my fingers crossed.  I am happy for them.

I thought it was a Sweet moment from Father to Daughter. It wasn't meant for the masses. It was for their family. Too bad people will likely tear it to pieces and attempt to ruin it. Team B and J all day!

I'm not an expert... but I don't think 2 day old babies coo like that....

I work as a trained birth doula, or labor and birth assistant, and I can attest to the fact that babies most certainly do coo and cry and make all types of sounds at their birth. Sending good energy and appreciating the show of affection from a father to a daughter in a time when so many fathers won't even claim their children, especially in the African American community.

I'm really disheartened that so many people are not impressed with the song. I might have been the first person to hear it after it posted haha I was on it. First to comment on the blog. But everyone's entitled to their opinion. I thought it was beautiful; it moved me to tears and I smiled hearing the baby coo. I'm so happy for the parents.

I love it! The song came from his heart and that is what matters. How many people can say that a song was written about THEM! Bring tears to my eyes..

remember if you have nothing good to say ....say nothing at all......WHY ARE PEOPLE SO NEGATIVE....let those that want to celebrate this joy do that and others keep your mouth shut....and move on.....damn
