Movie Spotlight: Red Tails

If you’re like me you remember the 1995 movie The Tuskegee Airmen . The classic movie featuring an all-star cast definitely helped to inform millions of people about the adversities overcome and the victories  achieved by blacks serving in the military during World War II.

In Hollywood these days, it seems like no movie or character is off-limits when it comes to remaking them or offering them in 3-D.  It’s safe to say that Red Tails will hopefully be a refresher course in American history for both young and old. With a stellar all-star cast featuring Terrance Howard, Nate Parker, Tristan Wildes, Ne-Yo, Method Man, Bryan Cranston, Andre Royo, David Oyelowo, and Cuba Gooding Jr. (who also starred in The Tuskegee Airmen), Red Tails is poised to make an action-packed impact at the box office. And besides, this movie has three stars from the HBO series The Wire, so I know it’s going to be good.

Red Tails opens in theaters January 20, 2012 and is rated PG-13.

It's rated PG-13.  Any idea if it is appropriate for kids under 13?

It's rated PG-13 for "sequences of war violence" and PG-13 means that parental supervision is required for children under the age of 13. Hope that helps.
