Just when my denial about her being gone is starting to settle in, they do this tribute. And it was beautiful. And Mrs Houston has me close to tears.

I loved Whitney Houston. She was the quintessianl diva legendary superstar. I miss her and was heartbroken when she died. It's still difficult to believe she is gone. The BET Whitney Houston tribute was the BEST tribute. It was star power at it's best with Ms. Cissy Houston bringing everyone to tears with her performance. Mariah Carey, Monica, Brandy, Gary Houston, Chaka Khan, the honest heartfelt words spoken by her co-stars and friends (Exhale) Angela Bassett, Lela Rochon, and Loretta Divine. It was genuine, loving, and a fitting tribute celebrating all that Whitney meant to us. THANK YOU BET!!!!!!

Thanks for posting this. I had not seen it air. I think this was the most beautiful and thoughtful tribute that could have been done. Monica really showed her talent and WOW!. Cissy had me crying. There was nothing but love in this tribute and I think we need to leave it at that. This can not be topped and it should not be attempted.
