On Thursday August 23rd we’ll be hosting the Atlanta Blogalicious Meetup. The inspiration for the event is the annual Blogalicious Weekend conference which will be taking place in Las Vegas, Nevada in September. Our Atlanta based social media event will cover multiple topics that bloggers and social media enthusiasts can learn from. These topics include:
How to Work With Traditional Media – we’ll talk with Fox 5 Atlanta Senior Web Producer Emily Stone. Emily will share how bloggers can pitch stories, and items to traditional news outlets in hopes of receiving broadcast coverage. This conversation will be great if you’re looking to expand the presence of your site, and build your brand.
How to Build a Massive Audience – the founders of Black Girls Run, Toni Carey and Ashley Hicks will talk about how they leveraged social media to build a vast network of over 25,000 women nationwide who are dedicated to healthy living. This discussion is perfect for those who are looking to build, not just a site, but an online movement. This is your opportunity to learn from the best.
Multiple Streams of Blog Income – we’ll have a panel of experts who actually make money, (real money) from blogging. They’ll share different tips and information on the myriad of ways you can make money from your blog. If you’re looking to make some additional gas money or turn your blog into a full time, business operation then you’ll love this portion of the event. This up front, and honest conversation will give you a real look, with real strategies to start making money now.
The evening will be full of information. We specifically design our social media events so you’ll have the opportunity to ask plenty of questions, and you’ll leave refreshed with knowledge you can immediately put into practice. You’ll hear information directly from people who are actually doing it, and you’ll have a chance to network with Atlanta’s most influential bloggers.
