Dear BMWK,
If a woman has a child with a man and they are not married should the woman give the child the man’s last name?
It’s double dipper day at BMWK with the Dear BMWK letters. I’ll let you all start on this one and we’ll jump in on the comments side of things.

Dear BMWK,
My husband and I have been together for 3 years now. He has never really been an affectionate person, even when we were dating. When we first met, he was affectionate. But I think that was due to the newness of the relationship. As time went on, I felt the affection dwindling. I chose to overlook this and married him anyway (as he is a good man and a great provider.)
Now when I want affection, I have to ask for it. Otherwise, I …

Compromising or simply giving in?
Is there a big difference between the two? I mean are both people happy by the end or is one person happier then the other? As I look at my friends relationships I find that they usually are the ones who are giving in or should I say coming out not so happy! Then I look at my own and sometimes see the same.
What do you do? Are you compromising or simply giving in?

Dear BMWK,
I have trust issues and was wondering how can I begin to get over them?
HIS VIEW:
Keep in mind that the man you are dating now is not responsible for what the man you dated before did to you. Dear BMWK,
I have a question for you! I don’t know if this is blog material but here it is… If a man finds out that he is not the father of a child he thought was his, should he be able to get money back if he was paying child support? And should the women have to be responsible in any way?
BMWK family, tell us what you think about this one.

Dear BMWK,
How do you console a spouse who knows that his grandmother is terminal with 1 to 6 months to live. He is very close to his grandmother who’s like a mother to him. He knows the news, yet, is showing no emotions. Just being extremely quiet and standoffish. I am giving him his space, however, I have asked if he was okay; and the answer, I’m sure you’re aware was just simply “yes”. How should I handle this situation? I know when my grandmother, whom I was close to …

My bf and I have been dating for 5 years and 1 month. Im 21 and hes 23. I just think that if he has not proposed to me yet he is not sure and I have a feeling that I should break up with him because I feel that hes never going to commit. I really think that I should break up with him but at the same time I am afraid that I will make the wrong decision. Does anyone have any advice for me? Should …

Dear BMWK,
I have been dating my boyfriend for 21 months. Earlier in the relationship we discussed what we wanted and did not want in a relationship, the conversation wasn’t too deep but since we’re both adults (over 40) there was no need to play games and we were able to have an open discussion. So far all is good. However in a recent discussion about our personal goals, in stating my goals I also included our relationship since at some point I thought he would need to factored …
