During a Christmas Party about a week ago, I felt very very small as I sat there listening to a room full of people talk about how lame minivans were. There were not many topics discussed that night that everyone was in total agreement with….we had some interesting debates. However when the minivan topic came up, they ALL agreed that they would never ever ever be caught dead driving one!!!I did not say anything. I just looked at my husband and gave him an embarrassed grin.
It took a lot for me …

Yesterday morning after a tough night of battling some type of sickness I was getting ready for work when one of my daughters asked mommy a question.
“How come daddy doesn’t go to the doctor?”
Of course at the time, I flexed a muscle and told her daddy doesn’t get sick and kept it moving so I could get into work only to leave before the end of the day after I started feeling worse. This made me think how men in general take the tough guy approach and don’t see doctors like …

Man: You’re cute!
Woman: I’m not cute I’m a grown woman!
Man: That’s a compliment coming from a guy like me!
Fast Forward 10 years later and they’re still married. This sums up in a nutshell part of the converstation a couple we met over the weekend had when they first met. She brought up how her husband used a bad line when he met her, his response was, “it must have worked” while showing his wedding band.
HER VIEW
That was definitely a bad pickup line….a turn-off!!! If a man said that to me, I …

Have you ever been in a relationship with a person that your friends did not like for you? I have!! Sometimes they are right and sometimes they are dead wrong. It’s good to listen to your friends, but you have to understand what their motives are when they tell you negative things about your relationship like: 1. are they in a bad relationship right now, 2. are they bitter from a past relationship, 3. are they jealous??
Ultimately you must listen to your own inner voice. You know deep down inside …

Do you and your spouse (or significant other) ever debate over who should drive when you are going out together? I know we do sometimes.
HER VIEW
Here is my take on it. By the time I finish getting the kids ready ( baths, hair, food…etc.,) I want a break when I get into the car. I feel like I do most of the work to get us to the point where we are ready to leave the house and therefore I should not have to drive. However, I think my husband would like for me …

Over the weekend me and the misses checked out Beowulf. Yeah, I know not normally my cup of tea but the kids were away for the weekend so it was whatever!!! Here is the trailer for the movie and what we both thought. Comment back and let us know what you think!
His View
One word - “Cartoon”. Not cartoon, cartoon in it’s truest sense but close enough. Who knew? It looked cartoonish in the commercial trailers but I gave it the benefit of the doubt and thought it may be like 300 which …

Around this time of year my wife starts to wonder if we spend enough on Christmas. Of course I give the answer I think most fellas would and that’s a definite YES! My personal thinking is that kids are out of control these days anyway (see… MTV’s My Sweet 16) in what they expect anyhow. Of course they don’t need half the crap they get and won’t take care of the other half so is it worth it? How much is enough? Are women just pushovers when it comes to …

I don’t understand why (us) women think that we need to financially support a man. I say (us) women because I was in a relationship for years where I basically allowed a man to live off of me. It was to the point where I was basically paying for my own presents (because any money he had came from me.) It took me almost 10 long years to get out of this dysfunctional reletionship. While I was in it, I made excuses like: 1. he is young and I am …

Christmas spending is just getting out of hand. I feel compelled to over spend when I see all of the things that my family and friends are buying. I try to stay within a budget. But somehow I feel I have not spent enough if I give someone a gift that is not as expensive as the one they have given me. It actually takes the fun out of Christmas Day. I just wish we could skip all of the gift giving and celebrate the birth of Christ and enjoy …
