MAN to MAN: 11 Things We Do When We Start Loving Her Better

MEN LOSE THE EGO! Okay first and foremost you must understand that this statement is coming from a man who used to have one of the biggest egos ever. Recently, I was sitting on a plane and I started doing some self-reflection; being up in the clouds watching the world fly by can make you ponder on some stuff. Anyway, like many men I started thinking back to what guys call their “hay day.” It’s usually that time in life when we defined ourselves by how many women we could lay claim to or “conquer.” They were the times when we couldn’t wait to tell our boys about our latest catch and current honey on deck. WOW, those were the days! Or were they really? Well, let’s talk about it!

Ladies this isn’t a blog designed to give you all of the “secrets to the game” and no fellas I won’t violate our man law. Mostly it’s about our transition and growth as men. Well, now that I’m a little older, a little wiser, and have different priorities I find that the things I do are less ego driven.  Being less ego driven has allowed me to let go of some (not all) of my selfish ways.

Maybe I’m getting soft, maybe this marriage thing has changed me, maybe it’s the fact that my first child is on the way…or maybe I’m just growing up.

Here are a few other things that let me know that I might just be growing up in love:
