Kennedy Brown, a 15-year-old brain cancer patient, recently had a big dream of hers come true. Thanks to a social media campaign sparked by her friends and taken to the next level by Houston’s ABC 13 Eyewitness News, Rapper, Drake, came to Houston, TX just to visit the young lady and make her dream come true.
The young lady’s friends told ABC News about a surprise they recently pulled off for Kennedy at school, creating a “high school in a day” experience for her. According to ABC 13 News, her friends were able to crown her prom queen and have a graduation ceremony for her during this surprise, but the one thing they weren’t able to do was get Drake there.
Kennedy’s friends created the hastag, #drakeforken, and were able to ask ABC 13 News viewers to help them make it go viral. Their plan worked and within a few days Drake called Kennedy’s father to tell him about his plans to come to Houston to visit her.
This was a very cool surprise for a young lady who is fighting for her life. Well done, Drake.
