Actor Boris Kodjoe wished his wife, actress Nicole Ari Parker, a happy 7th anniversary by penning the poem “The Seven Year Itch” for her, although the “itch” Kodjoe described in the poem had nothing to do with the desire to stray from his other half. Boris ends the poem, in which his “itch” is his desire to be with Nicole, with: “You’ve always been my itch. My seven year, seven days a week, 24/7 itch I  always want, desire, crave, and never ever want to be without.

Jada Pinkett Smith talked to a reporter at the Cannes Film Festival about life as a working mom, her upcoming projects, and maturing as a mother and a wife. The actress, who is producing a talk show with Queen Latifah, among other things, says that it used to bother her to have to share hubby Will Smith with the world. But she says, “I’ve learned that in my maturity, I’ve learned to take pleasure in sharing him with the world. Nick Cannon is the latest star to lend his celeb status to raise awareness about bullying. The star was named the global ambassador for the STOMP Out Bullying campaign. Nick’s latest music video, Die Young, focuses on the topic of bullying and aired on 106 and Park last week. {Hip Hop Wired}

Congrats to Philadelphia Phillies shortstop Jimmy Rollins and wife Johari Smith Rollins. Johari gave birth to baby girl, Camryn Drew Rollins, last Sunday. The couple married in 2010 and this is their first child. {BlackCelebKids}

First Lady Michelle Obama told Good Morning America that daughters Sasha and Malia have learned to have “thick skin” since dad President Obama took office. She said that the girls are also okay with knowing the possibility of not living in the White House for another four years depending on the outcome of the November elections. “They’ve grown to understand that home is wherever we are,” said the First Lady, “And Dad is always going to be Dad. Will Smith opened up to People Magazine about being married to wife Jada Pinkett-Smith for 15 years, and about how he loves the actress’ level head. “[Jada] is just absolutely hardcore, like she absolutely is unfazed by the weight and the pressures of life,” Will said. “She is so calm and cool and easy in any situation. She can bear anything, and I just love that about her.” {Entertainmentwise}

LL Cool J talked about balancing career and family life during an interview about starring on the television series, NCIS: Los Angeles. “When my daughter has a volleyball game I try to make sure she sees me on the sidelines. I try to make sure I go to the soccer games, I go to the dance recitals, I do the father-daughter dances”...I’m participating. I don’t want to just throw my kids to the wolves. Tia Mowry-Hardrict, who graces the cover of this month’ Vibe Vixen, said that despite the reality TV trend of showcasing cat fighting and over the top drama, she and sister Tamera won’t be jumping on the bandwagon with the second season of their show, “Tia & Tamera.” Tia reveals that while shopping their show around, they were turned down by networks because they didn’t believe the show had enough drama, but they stayed true to themselves. “We aren’t those type of people. So, it’s all about us being positive role models. People always say it’s nice to see fresh, vibrant, funny women on television, and that’s my sister and I,” said Tia. {S2S Magazine}
